CHICAGO, Illinois - Daisy Rain Garden Systems, a family-owned business operating out of Hillsboro, Oregon, was invited by Ace Hardware to enter the Makers To Market event at the Ace Hardware 2018 Fall Convention in Chicago, Illinois on Friday, August 18th.
Daisy Rain’s Sprinkler Pots, which are flower pots with an integrated sprinkler, were demonstrated for a panel of corporate buyers from Ace. The panelists were impressed by the quick set-up and expandability.
According to an Ace representative, 856 new products and inventions were considered for the event but only 34 were chosen. Daisy Rain’s participation in the Makers To Market event marks the first step in a development deal with the world’s largest hardware retail collective.
“I feel like we’ve been struck by lightning,” said Jeff Gordon, the owner of Daisy Rain who invented the Sprinkler Pot. “We’re incredibly excited at the opportunity this represents.”
Ace Hardware has over 5,000 locations worldwide.
