Get What You Want from the Oregon Legislature - The League of Women Voters of Portland on Tuesday, October 10, will feature three perspectives on how Oregonians can be effective in working with their legislators to effect change. Panelists include a state legislator, a LWV of Oregon lobbyist and a citizen who successfully lobbied for mothers’ rights—all speaking abut what works to persuade legislators. This Civic Education Program is free and open to the public from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Multnomah County Board Room, 501 SE Hawthorne Blvd. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The program will be recorded for future broadcast and online streaming by MetroEast Community Media at http://lwvpdx.org
